Located on the famous Praterstraße, the sustainable boutique hotel combines contemporary design with consistent circular economy principles. Materials have been reimagined according to the cradle-to-cradle principle, with examples including curtains made from PET bottles, carpets made from old fishing nets and washbasin tops made from old refrigerators. Compostable straw partitions, wool insulation and pollutant-free surfaces help to create a healthy indoor climate that is visible, tangible and forward-looking.

Der Schöne Ernst

Between city life and zeitgeist

Schöne Ernst is a café, bistro and bar which connects Praterstraße
with the hotel's activities, opening up the building to the city.
The reception, shop, restaurant with show kitchen, and seminar rooms
are spread over two floors. Elements from the 1950s have been given
a contemporary interpretation, from the recycled Viennese parquet flooring
to the reimagined Viennese doors which visibly continue the tradition.

Sustainability

The focus is on healthy living. The holistic concept is characterised by materials without colourants and food that is sourced as locally as possible.
